Totally get that. One can pick their friends, but can't pick family. Can understand why you made the choices you did. Sometimes is best to "shut doors" and walk away. I have too many friends who have stayed in very painful relationships with parents, siblings. You have Kahill and a few good friends, that's all you need. It's great you two have gotten to travel, sail together. You did something right Dad.

What if you weren't petting the dog and still got bit? I got bit in the arse by a french dog in St. Maarten. I was just walking down the dock minding my own business... I think best just to avoid all dogs

I'm on my way to buy chicken for bbq ing and 3 bottles of wine for the boat.. 2 white zin & somethig new to try. Need a wine rack somehow on board..keep it in the icebox in sox for now. Where do you keep yours?

Nope, not sailing Twizzled down (would have heart failure..lol). Sailing with Suky and owner of a Bowman 48' from Ma. Leaving thurs night I think..straight thru. I'll let u know more. I think I'm taking a train back at some point from ?Baltimore. ttyl

Don't ask me why but I woke up thinking about sea turtles...only had half glass of wine so that wasn't it. So how big was this gigantic sea turtle... u being from Montana must have been huge...don't they grow things big out there? or is that Texas? Don't know..maybe it's just that I need more coffee. :-)

Morning...was just rereading your post about being concerned if I was sailing Twizzled down to Md. & going thru Hell's Gate..now that I've been through it.. lol..yes...would be quite the ride ... did see two people in a smaller sailboat (than what i was on) tacking up the East River in what I thought was a strong current.. (going against it). I definitely wish I had a bigger boat..never thought those words would come out of my mouth..but there you are!!!! dang

You sailing yer baby??? Heard it's hot as hell down there. Holed up inside the house here a/c blasting...doing house stuff. Making crabcakes tonite with corn on the cob & gingerbread w/ whipped cream..that's it.

Men use the "code" for alot more than that.... when there's two or more of them together and they're hoping for something...anything to happen within that 24 hours and there's a woman within earshot..the code talk is plentiful. Unless alcohol has been consumed, then they get a lil sloppy with the code and it's easy to decipher...that's when the women start using the code. and switch over to the tactical book of rules, codespeak and manuevers.. :-))
