About Me:
I have had a love of boats and the sea and been sailing since 2002. My first boat was a Catalina 27 and there's days I still miss her (Harmony). Currently back into saving mode for a 32-37 ft liveaboard. Interested in meeting other likeminded sailors for socializing, networking, or crewing opportunities nationwide.

Maybe someday I'll meet a mate to sail the seas together. She's out there somewhere;-)

    Hi Tim,

    Welcome to Texas!

Yes, our boat is a Baba30 with lots and lots of wood in different stages of completion, but my husband and I still take her out as much as we can.

We have a great group of friends at Watergate Marina - come join us some weekend

Hi, we now have several friends on this site that sail together from Watergate & Waterford. Odis and I are going to start a Galveston Bay & Texas Coastal Sailors Group. I see you started Gulf Coast Sailing - that'll be good because it can include over to Florida. Maybe we can get some crewing trips together.
  • Odis

The boat had no damage. We are in Waterford a very good hurricane hole.
I see you did some sailing in Rockport Maine. I was there on a 62' Beneteau from June to October 2006. It was a great place to have as a home base for sailing around Maine. I am currently anchored at Redfish Is. Had a beautiful night of anchoring out.

    Hi Tim,

Unfortunately my husband and I are only weekend sailors. My husband owns his business and I am a nurse so have weird hours and work some holidays.

However, will try to set up something in the next couple of weeks and let you know - you can come meet the rest of the group, I think you have been commenting back and forth with Odis who is our very best friend and has a ton of experience....We love sailing with Odis

c2csailor, Thanks for the props on my C27, she is a 1987 and except for some minor electric issues, she is great. This is my first real boat. I've been sailing for years, but mostly small boats (sunfish, laser, hobie) and windsurfers. I would love to move up to a 30 to 35 footer some day (soon!!). Thanks for the heads up on the yahoo group, I'll check it out!! Tom

Hey Tim, Yeah New England sailing is the best! You been back since leaving for TX.?? Haven't sailed off Marblehead in a while, miss it too. Moving my boat up to Winthrop in the spring, RI, nice but marina's dead..joining WYC. Going to the Pelagic meeting on the 19th, need to start finding sailing related winter activities. ugh :-) So you're boatless at the moment? What are you looking at for your next "ship"... My 25' not big enuf..have 6' itis. lol

Ahoy Tim, Sad news about Hilda...she's no longer sailing with us(she and her sister passed away 2 years ago). Interesting you mentioned the Brig Niagara, as home port is where we sail from(Erie, Pa.). We get to see a lot of her durning the spring and summer.
