Hull #9! Wow! We're hull #53. Show us some pictures!

Sam, we have a 2 cabin and she's hull # 001. We just settled on her in October. She was the Annapolis Show's demo boat. My wife and I actually delivered and returned her from Riverside, NJ. I'll be more than happy to join the 40/43 group. Always good to share info, especially on a new model.

Sam, do you have any pictures to share? What kind of equipment have you added to her?

Sam, pics 15 & 17 are from our old boat, which was an 02 Benny 361. We have a bow thruster, air conditioning, a full compliment of instruments based on the E120. The dodger and bimini came with the boat set up for the Annapolis Show. We added the companionway, wheel and winch covers and will also add cockpit cushions and perhaps a mesh connector panel for hot sunny days. I installed the barometer, etc. already and have a 32" flat screen TV ready for the forward bulkhead. I added Siruis satellite to the AM/FM. I'd like to add AIS and eventually radar but for now both are nice to have's rather than need to haves.

The toilets are both quiet flush (but hardly quiet) and yes they both backfill. Jabsco has had problems with the joker valves and I suspect we may need new ones. While I can't find the part # on them I've heard they came out with a new reinforced model valve that wont allow the back flow. One other short term fix is to do a dry bowl pump long enough to get all the fluid in the bowl and lines into the tank.

Sam, keep me posted on how well the toilet check valves work. I may need to do the same to ours.

Sam, I appreciate the info. It seemed to have pumped properly at first, then nothing. I'll check it out next time to the boat. I'm going to talk to the svc mgr as well. I'll let you know what I find.

Sam, we've spent a few nights on her and have done a ton of organizing, cleaning, decorating, etc. but haven't taken her out for a sail yet. I'm hoping we'll do so this Saturday. Prediction is for 10-12kt winds and sunny skies in the mid 80s. I got the TV installed, also installed an additional florescent light over the galley. Installed a line rack in the aft Stbd locker and the fire extinguishers. I'm taking Friday off to wash her and start treating the teak. Oh yea I need to find where the check valve is in the bilge pump plumbing. I checked the thru hull and it's open but didn't have the time to find the check valve which I suspect is clogged with crap that was in the bilge. I'll let you know how it goes. By now they should have installed the lag bolt retrofit in the rudder assy. The guy doing the work said he can't believe anyone ever had an issue based on how it's built. I told him the story about the guy that did and he suspects they hit something. Getting anxious to move her to her permanent slip in Baltimore. We're heading down on Sat 5-9 running with My Sanity a 423. We'll stay over in a small town Sat night, have dinner, drinks etc. then arrive on Sun 5-10. Let's stay on touch, there's much to be learned and shared.
