About Me:
Here is a short bio on my life and times.

I was born in Binghamton, NY on January 1, 1938 and grew up there with my family in the same house for 20 years until I went away to college. I studied Engineering at Cornell University for a year and a half before joining the army on March 17, 1958 (same time as Elvis!). When I was discharged from the Army, my best friend and I ran an Esso Service Station for a year before I got married to Julie and decided to return to college at the University of Arizona in 1960. The year we were married, we had just moved to Tucson when I got a nice letter from President Kennedy that began "Greetings" and consisted of an invitation to rejoin the Army for the Berlin Crisis. I was assigned to Ft Gordon, GA for a year and then was discharged once more. We immediately moved back to Tucson and I started college again for the third time. At that stage of my life I was a new man and made the Deans List and graduated with a degree in Production Management with a minor in Accounting in 1964.

I went to work for my fathers company back in Binghamton for two years but had the itch to return to the West so I ended up in Boulder, CO where my wife Julie and I lived for the rest of our 13 year marriage and had two children, Mary and Tom. Julie wanted her freedom and divorced me in 1973 and I lived as a bachelor in Colorado until 1980 when I married Joy (with her daughter, Julie). We were married for 8 years (it should have been 8 months), moved back to Binghamton where we lived in the family house for 5 years while I worked as Data Processing Manager for a large construction company. The day came in 1986 when I could no longer take Joy's severe mood swings and I quit my job, moved to Florida and filed for divorce.

I have lived in Florida on one of many boats I have owned ever since, but in 1989 a lady from British Columbia, Laurie, answered my personals ad in Cruising World Magazine, came down to Florida to meet me, and everything clicked, so she moved aboard and a year later we were married to begin the happiest 13 years of my/our lives. I continued to work and also run my own software company until 1995 when I retired and we began semi-fulltime cruising on my boat. In 1998 we began building a house on Arrow Lake (a part of the Columbia River System) in British Columbia so we would have a home base near my wife Laurie's family and friends. In February 2003, Laurie passed away and I have been looking for someone special to spend the rest of my life with ever since.

So, that's my story and I'm sticking to it !!!!
