Hi Robert,
I plan on doing the same thing as you, in a few years, but starting on the East coast. I have insider knowledge to share about routes and secure anchorages from NYC to Boston includiung the Cape and the Islands. When you are ready and near this area give me a shout.

Am now in Solomons, MD where I will spend the next few weeks before heading further north. I'm afraid I went through S. Carolina rather quickly, but thoroughly enjoyed a day at Prince Creek. The alligators and fireflies seems quite friendly and put on a good show.
Will also want to stop at Georgetown again on the way back south. The anchorage was a bit tenuous though, and crowded.
Hey Robert, welcome to NY! our marina is directly across the Hudson on the Jersey side, right next to the subway to the city (it's called the PATH here). If you get tired of being in a mooring and want shorepower, fresh water, etc, call Iris at 201-626-5550. Let us know if you come by!
Thanks. I'm paid up for a couple more days, then will try to catch an afternoon tide down the Hudson, and up through Hell gate. I'll wave when I go by.
Then to explore a bit of Long Island Sound on the way north. I've been singlehanding for the last weeks, and plan to buddyboat with a friend who is also singlehanding, for a while.
