Well I am married to a wonderful man whom I met on the beach in Georgia. We live in a small town in southern Alabama about two hours north of Panama City FL. In June of 2007 we purchased a 40 foot sailboat that will become our home in the near future. June of this year we will move on board and in October we cut the dock lines and say goodbye to this so called life and begin the 2nd and perhaps the better chapters in our life. We shall travel the west coast of Florida, down to the Keys and then cross over to the Bahamas. From there we head to the Caribbean and then who knows....No time table, no schedule, no problem
Current location:
Enterprise, AL
Looking to:
move aboard next year and start heading south through the Keys then over to the Bahamas. After that our plan is to head south into the Carribbean for who knows how long. As long as it continues to be fun and I have a feeling that it will be a while.
An O'day 40, Nancy? An absolutely beautiful boat, and one that I'm sure will bring you lots of very happy miles. Too bad you're not nearer to the Northeast -- I'd say come join us at the annual O'day owners' "rOnDAYvous" this July. Thanks for stopping by my page and dropping off the comment.
Hi Nancy! Thanks for the welcome. No, not military, but I do work on Ft. Rucker. I took a look at your blog and see you have yourself a nice O'Day. I almost bought an O'Day Daysailer for my first boat, but I ended up with a Hobie 18 and am very happy with it. I am partial to multihulls, so my dream is to own a trimaran some day. One that folds up so I can bring it home with me.
