Below find the picture of "Moose" our ship dog. He's a miniature Dachshund and loves the boat. When it's time to go home we can't get him off the boat. He runs back to it and parks himself on the roof of the cabin.

He's a cutie, alright. But a miniature? Must be the perspective. In the photo he looks more like an Irish Setter.

Here's one of our two salty dogs -- our ancient mariner, Jasmine, a 17-year-old Lhasa Apso.

And the other, 9-year-old Kenya, the Siberian Husky. (She's the one on the left -- the other is our daughter, Emily.)

yes Moose is a mini with a pedegree a mile long.. LOL
He's a bit oversize for a mini, some thow- back to Standard lines, which happens. Since I don't show dogs any more, I don't care.
Beautiful husky. I bet be she gets hot in the cockpit. Sweet little daugher , Emily, too who obviously loves her dog.

All such Sweet and Wonderful dogs...thanks for sharing.

RIP, Jasmine. Sad to say, one of our salty dogs won't be sailing with us any longer (except in spirit). With her health deteriorating, Jasmine, the Lhasa Apso, had to be put to sleep at the tender age of 17. It'll be quite a different experience on board without her.

so sorry to hear of the passing of your beloved dog.
In the past I've had to say good bye to wayyyyyy too many of my pets so I know what an empty space in our heart and lives our pets leave behind.

I am so sorry Pete...but I can tell you a pet that lives that old is a well cared for pet over the years.I know you brought joy to Jasmines life as she did to yours.

This is Gracie Jack, Why two names? I was told at the shelter she was a boy so named him Jack. When it came time to fix "him" my vet informed me he was a she. I didn't want o give up the name Jack so I just added Gracie. She has been living aboard since February and really loves it. Her favorite places is the cockpit to play and then way down in the bilge for a little nap

omg--wait until she is alll better--she will get there--just takes forever sometimes---bubba was poisoned by the melaqmine in cat foods when he was a young kitty less than one yr old--stunted his growth lol--he is just under 20 pounds now--should have been 25 pounds if anything like daddy kat...lol....he sends his wishes for monet to hurry and get better....

Moose , our shipdog is now a diving dog. He shot into the drink after the anchor, when it hit the water, and Moose couln't be held back , one jump and in he went , then swam to shore. What a brave little fellow.

bubba is single--is altered----as he is an irresponsible male ...lol......is on restriction at present because he escaped and got onto the dock----leash time lol....
suky--he might decide to run to you as momma placed the leash on him and wont let him on the dock !!!!!--h is trying to complain using phil's computer....lol....

Monet and Matisse like all of Bubba's qualities...they do not want kitties and have had surgery...they also like to stroll and like his adventures
