Yes. Barb got a job back in August, but I'm still looking. Just got done with a round of interviews yesterday and hope to have good news by the end of the week. We were hoping to get back cruising end of this year, but it's probably going to have to be end of 2011 instead.
New group member here. Currently in Vero (aka Velcro) Beach, FL. Got some repairs to do so it's not clear whether we'll get to the Bahamas this season. Weather's been awful.
Blue highway - What is your boat name? Next year we may be picking your brain as I would like to go up to Nova Scotia, if our boat is ready to go by then.
Hi - Phil and I are new to cruising, just signed 2 contracts to sell our house and plan to leave this September to sail to Georgetown, Bahamas. I'm planning on taking my Viking Sewing machine and wondered if anyone knew of a good waterproof case I could buy for the machine - or if there were any recommendations to protect it besides the case it came with.
D, Our home is sold and it's hard to believe, but in about 5 weeks we are leaving to fulfill our dream. Have been living on the boat for 7 weeks. Just finished making our Bimini. Next big project is the frame for the mast when on the Erie Canal. If you're still in Oriental, NC - I'm sure that we want to stop and say hi.
Congratulations! That is exceptional in this market.
I wish I knew of a case for your sewing machine, but I know of none. Too bad there is not a Lock n Lock container that big, as it would work perfectly. What about a heavy duty plastic garbage bag, or sew a Sunbrella or vinyl case for your sewing machine case? Just a thought.
