Ahoy: Been cruising for 7 years, including two transpacs, one solo at 73 years old....I cant find anyone here in Honolulu to sponsor me for commodore status....anyone out there would like to sponsor "old lady with a limp", ex Msgt USA?
Assuming you are already an associate member, do you fly your burgee? We are in the Caribbean and were similarly frustrated in our quest to find sponsors. We knew several brand new comodores, but they can't sponsor until they have been comodores for a year. I asked SSCA if there was a list of comodores available, thinking that we probably knew several but didn't know it. There is no such list. We found that after launching our associate burgee regularly, we had two sponsors in a month. Our comodore-ship should be completed this month.
