Anne,
Stilleto makes fast catamarans. I have a friend who used to race up on Lake Winnepasaukee (sp?). He had a hard time getting accepted by the monohull folks, but they finally let him race with a PHRF of 0. Even then he usually won - I think he finally had to agree not to take the trophy but just race for fun. His Stilleto 27 regularly made 20+ knots even on lake wind.

Here's their website: http://www.stilettocatamarans.com/ . Here's what they say:
Stiletto was conceived and designed as a trailerable high performance coastwise cruiser, a concept that has resulted in unparalleled versatility. Trailering her is a breeze and two people can set her up for sailing in just over one hour. Her shoal draft (9 inches) and kick-up rudders means you can safely sail her right up onto the beach. With head, berths, galley. Sleeping tent and other amenities, Stiletto is a catamaran cruiser’s dream.

My god... why don't you two (zeehag and anne) take your petty BS offline and stop inundating this list with your blather....

Hello, Anne.. Yup great weather here in Baton Rouge too.. Unfortunately I am not sailing.. have house chores today.. then going to help a buddy getting a 27 foot Stiletto catamaran ready to do some sailing. He bought it a couple of weeks ago and we’ve been having fun trying to figure things out and cleaning and stuff. It had been sitting still for 7 years on a trailer.. I learned to sail on fast catamarans many years ago, and I’m looking forward to experiencing that again..
