bolivar peninsula's crystal beach is affected now---so is ponchartrain to a degree now the oil has been found inside rigolets.....sad sad sad.....too many are affected by this--is 1/3 the continental usa coastline--is very very sad......too many lives depend on that ecosystem remaining intact---will be a looong time before the place will return to some semblance of normalcy--there is waaay too much crude flowing unchecked for the return in our lifetimes--tooo sad.....beyond tragic...

Congrats on the trip, Gene ! That is an interesting run down the ICW.. Morgan City with all the river current and traffic is a challenge.. Locking through into the Mississippi at New Orleans is a thrill with all the traffic.. but the view of the French Quarter is great as ya go by ! The Miss Sound and the islands are fine places to sail ! Gonna Be Fun !
