Well I finally finished my companionway steps. Marine varnish and Lewmar Treadmaster Smooth Step Pads (peel and stick). I attached a couple of pics.

Ok here is a picture of my dripping stuffing box shaft.  Spose to be dripless...seems to leak at both connections.  Got it from Warren Boatworks RI...any ideas how to solve?

Also I cleaned up oil from my normally dry bilge.  No oil under engine, and dip stick shows full...any ideas on that?

I replaced this TIDES MARINE  provided by Paul D , as it dripped, and Tides Marine told me they altered 6  and 5 have come back..they refunded me.

I put this dripping one on cut to fit the short space in the F30

Problems with my TIDES MARINE  Shaft Seal

Lola: first, there should be a hose from the pressure side of the raw water intake connected to the seal. That's the only way that the lip seal gets lubricated. Also, the person that installed the seal might not have used the provided disposable lip seal that makes sure that the lip seal seats properly. The lip seal needs to be facing aft. Lastly, the shaft itsel might have a nick where the lip seal sits. You can remedy that by moving the entire unit forward a little. If the lip seal wore out due to lack of lubrication, unfortunately you will have to replace the entire unit. These seals are made exclusively for Warren River and you can't just change the lip seal like in the regular Tides Marine seals.

Just wanted you to know TIDES MARINE refunded me on that shaft.  they altered   for Paul D.  and 5 have been refunded.  I now had put on a standard Dripping one we had cut down. to fit the F30.

"Auto ascending setup is an interesting idea, though it takes a bit of fiddling around to get it right. Once it's dialed in, it actually works quite well."

"Michael, From experience over three keel boats a fully battened main is almost a requirement. Not only will it make dropping the sail into the boom bag far easier it certainly reduces any flogging and vastly lengthens the life of the sail. While…"
