Zee , this is a beautiful picture.
Thanks for sharing. It's time that we got our boat into the water up here in the north. LOL.

I remember one beautiful night, sailing the Ottawa river.
I had not been feeling well, suffering from a slight heat stroke that day, and I decided at about 10 pm that we better head home. So, we lifted anchor and sailed out of our bay. A full harvest moon and the many stars were our only illumination. The moon hung in the sky like a huge lantern, It wasn't very windy that evening, we had just enough wind to propell us forward and we had all the sails up. Like a silent phantom, a ghost ship, we drifting down river .It seemed like we sailed right into the moon. I'll never forget that night.

Finding our way into the dark entrance of the smaller Madawaska river, where our marina is located, was a challenge, but we did ok.
Zee .... awesome pics... love your cat !
There have been so many treasured moments but Liv's story reminded me of a special night sail. We were anchored off Shelter Island in Gardiner's Bay and though there was little wind, it was just enough to sail towards Sag Harbor. Sailing into the full moon, ghosting along without another boat of any sort in sight, the 4 of us sang into the night. The breeze sweetly caressed us and the music and friendship on board was magic.
Night sailing, my favourite time on board. YES..

"I had to replace my sheeve on both sides and really struggled to get the bolts out. Once I had them out, each was bent thus the challenge. I ended up stripping one or two of the hex bolts and used an angle grinder to square off the head of the bolt…"

B43 Traveller

The starboard side of my Traveller is starting to lift up. I am guessing to remove the center 5mm Allen bolt that goes through the middle of the sheeves, although I cannot get it to budge, to access it. Does anyone have any experience with this??Thanks Dave B43 Shore's AdriftSee More
