Thanks Zee, will be checking around. Would like an old admiralty chart decoupage on top of a table...hate that formica one with a passion. Going to the boat in a bit...dish washer loaded, bed made, dust bunnies safe another day! :-)

terri---what can ye find as used items --search well prior to going for the 80 dollars/board foot wood (might be more now--i donot know)---plus labor for the creation of this gorgeous table/stow area---there should be some boats being salvaged that have this kind of item at least started....goood luck--and if i see one, i will send linky--another thought is to decoupage a map to the table top --or a chart of your favorite destination--that covers or replaces the formica and ta-daa--less than a…

Wat you can buy "off the shelf" are smaller items. You can see the range from Westmarine.com, when you type in teak in the search field.<br />

If you want a larger item, just draw what you want, and ask a capenter/cabinet maker to make it for you. Then you can mount it and varnish it yourself.<br />
