Leaky water tanks on 2009 Beneteau 40

If there is anyone out there trying to figure out why their forward water tank is leaking, I may have found the reason... I was vacuuming out the bottom part of the tank during my winterization process and when looking in with a flashlight I discovered 2 screw penetrating into the tank from the bulkhead just aft of it. Unbelievable!!! Have a message into my broker but was wondering if anyone has experienced the same problem.
