A lot of folks are getting their boats ready to head back out for the season. What are your most important things to do before taking off?

One time I took the Catalina out and forgot to check how much gas we had. Needless to say we ran out and the winds nearly took us into the rock dam. That's a story in and of itself I should write up sometime!
