Has anyone replaced/upgraded their cockpit speakers?  The grill for one of mine is broken and they sound pretty terrible regardless, so it's time for an upgrade.  I'd prefer to find something that fits the original footprint if possible.

I'm open to any suggestions you may have about improving the audio quality both in the cabin and in the cockpit.  Thanks in advance for your help!

I installed a pair of Polk speakers in the cockpit. They fit where the stock units were and had much better sound. They were also water proof. We had the boat for 8 years and they still looked and sounded good.

Good luck

Mike

I installed Fushion speakers in the cockpit a few years ago when I upgraded my stereo system.  The speakers fit the existing holes perfectly.

Thanks guys!  Cam - I'm heading to West Marine soon (don't have one close by, unfortunately), and I see that they have quite a few fusion speakers for sale - any chance you recall the size and model number that you used?  No worries if not, I can climb up on the boat and measure if I have to.

I'm also considering upgrading the stereo, so if you have any feedback on how the rest of your upgrade went, that would be helpful.

Thanks again,

Ross
