Chris.
We are halfway through the installation of an Eberspacher diesel heater (almost identical to the Webasto) in our Euro built B43.
The heater main body is being mounted in the starboard lazarette under the outboard shelf with the exhaust exiting starboard upper topsides via one of the fancy stainless steel double walled skin fittings purchased from Butlers in the UK.
In our case as Australia is not severely cold we are running three outlets, the fixed open one in the main saloon and two closable outlets, one in each head. The logic being the heads will be used as drying rooms with the capacity to heat the two cabins via an open head door.
There appears to be plenty of room to run the 65mm ducting (all along the starboard side) and plumbing into the main fuel tank is straightforward with access to the electrics again on the starboard side in the aft (2nd) cabin.
I will let you know how we proceed although at this stage you can check previous SeaKnots posts from one of our Pittwater sailing mates (David) who has fitted an Eberspacher in addition to a 5KVA gen set with air conditioning
While we are here a very Happy Christmas and wonderful and safe New Year to all our SeaKnots friends.
