Hey Everyone,

New guy here.  Currently sailing (and selling) a completely re-fit Tartan 27.  Looking to move up to a Cal 34 / 35.  Wanted to know some thoughts from those of you who have one.  I'm looking to live aboard and I really like the layout of the Cruising Cal 35 but can't find many.  Are the 1980's Cal 35's still Lapworth Design's.  Any input is appreciated. Thanks

Mele Kalilkimaka Cal people and all other sailors!

Hope that everybody is enjoying the Holidays. We never bought the Cal 2-30. Looks good, but we're sticking to our 5 year plan for now. Enjoy!

Even though that is the predesessor to my Cal 31 I will claim no factual knowledge about the boat. Mine is an encapsulated lead keel with no beam.
Have you looked on the Yahoo site?
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Cal_Boats/
more than likely it would be found in a past thread

Howzit Cal people,
Looking for info on Cal 2-30. We may be moving up sooner rather than later... Specifically keel attachment (integrated or bolts). Also headroom and a definitive beam. Anybody? Bradley, you still out there?
Mahalo for any,
LR

Aloha ka'kou Cal people. Hope everyone had a great summer. Sailing has been great, as usual. Fishing , not so much. No good size fish(25#) since July. Bunch of AKU (skipjack tuna) since then. MahiMahi season is coming back around next month. Can't wait!

I have a Cal 31' Sloop 1979. I'm outfitting her to cross the pacific over to Australia and i can't seem to find any Cal 31's that have done major crossings. Anyone know about Cal 31's sailing to Hawaii or Beyond. Any help would be great.

Bruce, to the paint, we painted the HULL white, non-skid deck is a Slight tan color mixed with non-skid. and the trim the green ... she does look great and anyone who see's her is shocked at her age. I have a dodger and a sumbrella sun cover for the times were at anchor or in the marina and really hot needing some relief. Were planning on modifying it with some side drape to cut the direct sun in the a.m. and p.m. it fits up and over the boom, extending to the back stay.
