Ay! With a new permanent lens in my right eye I can see clearly. Cruising up the same area of the ICW where I have sailed for 30 years, I could finally see the landmark house that guides into Ballard Park.  More importantly, I  clearly see where my life is going. The vision of sailing out Port Canaveral on a warm sunny day is crystal clear.  Nervously rounding the fartheest channel mark, setting a northerly course, wondering how the weather will be are visible images that compel me to be patient, progress slowly, and appreciate those who help me make this happen.

To complement this lifelong image has been the spark of a first kiss. What a delight it was. Scary though because one never knows where that might lead. Is it the beginning of a romantic journey? Or will it end up like a ship wreck in the middle of the night?

Clearly, loose ends need to be tidied up. Whether it be the lure of the sea or the lure of a man there are bound to be rough seas ahead. Then again when the warm gentle breeze flows across the sails and he ...... oh dear, I  suddently see the need to put my sunglasses on to soften the glow so I can focus on SPRAY and not dwell on the blurred vision of when he will call.
