Wow! I'm very impressed :) you are indeed 'living the life' ... And love Chip's blog. I'd really enjoy hearing more about how you got started, and have done all.
I Christine. Thank you for your comment on my page. I am reading and rereading all my manuals........I went on my maiden voyage yesterday and all went well. Even the docking. I know I can do this even on a 42 ft. boat for awhile at least. Until such time as I either run out of money or decide I need to get a different boat. I try not to let fear move me and to be gentle with myself when I need that and yet to also push myself beyond my limits when it is time. Life has thrown me alot to handle at this time and I think I am doing pretty good at handling it all. I have to get your books to read ......I have not heard of them until now. Again thanks for the encouragement! ~Barbara
Hello there my name is Matt I juoined this thing a while back but just now finding time to check it out as I sit here in georgetown I see you are living in ft lauderdfale I will be there in early august and looking for a place to keep my new boat for a few months between stuart and miami I want to be close to bahams so I can explore the further after the hurricain season subsides. I kept my other boat in marathon last year bit I bit inconvienent for commuting I prefer moorings if you know of any. I will have to check out your books when I get the time , great page
Glad that I could be of service. We have to take our muses and movitations where ever we can find them. Kudos to you for being able to do full books. I have enough trouble doing a thousand word articles for the sailing rags.
Just thought I'd pass on a comment about "Surface Tension" from the lady that runs the used bookstore here in New Bern. She said she loved it, couldn't wait to find your other books and was passing along to her friends. Keep up the good work.
What an adventure, and places you have sailed...Have you been to Suvarov? I would love to be able to go to the south Pacific...do you sail alone? You have great pictures....Lola
hi christine,
i finished wreckers key and need to get next one now! i really enjoyed it alot. i like seychelle and cant wait to read more. is this one your most recent?
i cant wait to start reading one, i just finished pat henrys book by the grace of the sea, i enjoyed it so much, i have that empty feeling after finishing a book if i don't have a new one to start. i almost sold my boat in march to move to florida and stay with a friend but changed my mind, i've never left calif born raised and stay here. i'm a traveling nurse but never travel, just move around so cal hospitals. i think the best way to get live aboard here is to buy a boat in the marina that you want to stay in. my friend is selling his islander 34 here and it could be a liveaboard. take care,i'm going to get a new book today, thanks
deb
Thanks for accepting my friend request! I am a big fan of L.M. Lawson and just read about your novels. I love mysteries tha tfeature sailboats and sailors. Which one would you recommend I start with?
Love your books. I've lived here in Lauderdale off and on since '61 and I can see where you lead us through your narratives. The guy getting shot at the Andrews Ave. bridge. How many times have I been under and over it? And the Downtowner and its regular habitues.
Your writing is as evocative to me as is that of James Lee Burke. I worked running crewboats for several years around New Iberia and Bayou Teche is as dear to me as is the New River.
I would be proud to have you as a friend on Sea Knots.
