I miss Big Sur too. I loved camping down there. I used to take my VW Vanagon all the way down the coast to Rosarita Mexico, we would stop and surf and scuba all the way down and back. Its funny you talk about Moss Landing, I kept my boat there for awhile too. You should see Moss Landing now. Since MBARI built their research lab there it has really changed.

John! I will check them out! I was a Volunteer Guide at the Monterey Bay Aqauarium for 14 years, started the day it opened! I miss the Monterey Bay, do you? Apollo Beach is a beautiful place, I love the wildlife and the fact that dolphins can swim in my back yard, but I miss the bay breezes and the California surf. Where have you visited in Mexico? I have sailed and surfed most of the Pacific side. Why would you pick cuba and not Panama or Costa Rico?
Happy Sailing!

"I had to replace my sheeve on both sides and really struggled to get the bolts out. Once I had them out, each was bent thus the challenge. I ended up stripping one or two of the hex bolts and used an angle grinder to square off the head of the bolt…"

B43 Traveller

The starboard side of my Traveller is starting to lift up. I am guessing to remove the center 5mm Allen bolt that goes through the middle of the sheeves, although I cannot get it to budge, to access it. Does anyone have any experience with this??Thanks Dave B43 Shore's AdriftSee More
