Any suggestions for a ~4kVa generator ?

For my 2008 B 43. Where to install, which brand etc without altering the layout. The starboard aft has a nice place but not sure if it will fit the opening. Many thanks.

"Have you checked that you still have air pressure in the accumulation tank? You might have lost air. Use by cycle pump to fill the air tank and try again. "

"Tevfik, there are no check valves in shower discharge lines which is actually a proper application. Backflow occurs when discharge hose is partially/fully blocked by debris, etc. "

I spent a considerable amount of time looking for a replacement generator for my Vagabond-47 this past year. I looked at the "nextgen" that you refer to and several others. I settled on and purchased the Westerbeke 4kw generator, being a 3 cylinder it runs at a slower speed and I am expecting improved reliability. several folks in our harbor have the nextgen  and have had problems.

"I’d also do a test using only the main. The more testing you do the more likely you’ll find the problem. I’d also check to see how much the leeward shrouds sag during all the tests. Let us know what you find. Good luck Mike"

"Our 43 had a shaft drive. Depending on how much water or fuel that was in her she would sometimes have a very small imbalance. Nothing that would cause her to sail unevenly. Do you have the problem on all points of sail? Is it more on any particular…"
