WELCOME...WOW...You are living my dream and just left where I want to go someday. Your link is well done..easy to follow. What did your children think when you made the choice to live a board and travel?
Eversince I read AN ISLAND TO ONESELF, I knew I wanted to go to Tom's Island..Suvarov...see my page..the whole reason for the boat purchase and naming the boat, and learning to sail is to see Suvarov.
Tell me is the building he lived in still there?..did you go across the atoll to the other little islands?
Are you or will you be in the Caribbean in the winter of 2009? Do you have advice on destinations or precautions? Want to meet up with fellow sailors that are close by? If so, then you should join and share your experiences!
Nice footage! I read the book during our Atlantic crossing and have had the movie in my Amazon wish list for 7 years! Thing is that I don't own a VHS player anymore and I haven't been able to find it on DVD yet.... :-(

Thank you for the link to your website. But I have been there before and read the "rescuing Sadko". I can not remember how I got there in the past.
Melbourne. Australia is not that far from NZ. If you decide to come across the pond, why not do as stop over here.
