- Own a 1970 Westerly Cirrus that I keep on western Lake Erie, and a 1966 McVay Falcon 16' used for smaller lakes near my home in southeastern Michigan.

- Southeastern Michigan
- Destinations visited:
- Lake Erie, Detroit River, Lake St. Clair, Lake Huron, Lake Michigan and smaller lakes throughout Michigan and Ohio. Sailed the Gulf from Lake Charles to Sarasota aboard a friend's boat. Used to crew for club races, but I really prefer the spontaneity of cruising.

- I greatly enjoy meeting other sailors and sharing knowledge and good times. I enjoy working on my boats (hardly seems like real work), and learning more about sailing, sailcraft, history and traditions. I singlehand a lot. Crew slot available!

Lake Erie Pirates Steal Toledo Lighthouse Dock and Ramp

- Hi Mark! Sailed today, just got back a lil while ago...was nice....and sorta chilly...going back tomorrow and mon/tues to sail. Asked marina ...can we keep her in till the 17th??? They said okay. Tired, going to bed. nite nite

- Thanks Mark! I actually bought the boat months ago but found out shortly afterward that a previous owner owed the marina over $1K. It took until now to get it resolved.

- Boy, I guess you're "well seasoned" then! Salt behind the ears! Heavy weather can beat the hell out of a boat. It's that "after the storm" let's peer down into the cabin......always a "oh my god" or "holy shit" moment, then we sit back down & just sit...........lol...takes a while to get back to "normal mode"! Thank goodness for adrenaline!

And in the Gulf Stream off the East Coast of the USA, the waves get massivly humongous and square during Nor' Easters. On the coast, lots of beach errosion.
