I was just wondering if there are any other folks cruising on their Coronado yachts, or Columbia yachts? I will be taking my Coronado 30 out in a few weeks, as soon as the temps get better and I can…

Kidnap case turns to N.Y. and 72-foot catamaran boat named "Serenity"

I cann't comment on this type of mess becouse it seems in most cases you never get the whole story. and to make matters worse, when you do get the story, it's so full of holes and lies that is more l…

About Me:
UPDATE: 10/07/09.
as of 10/10/09 I will be moving onboard PRETTY LUCKY. maybe by the end of November I will be on my way South. as for the weight loss, 4 months ago I was 336lbs, last month I got down to 275.5 lbs. today I was 267lbs. not bad for just watching what I eat.
HAY...I lost weight this summer since I joined!
My Skype name/handle is hearsejr
give me call sometime.
I am a deep sea diver, and flight crew leader for a state Forrest service. I took up sailing back in the 80's with a patched up and peaced togother sunfish. my first real boat was a salvaged coronado 27. my brother got drunk with his wife and they wrecked it. a few weeks later I got an sc 22, and I'm working on a deal for a coronado 30. in about 7 days I should be the proud owner after the inspection.
UPDATE
I'm the owner and Captain of PRETTY LUCKY, a 30' Coronado, that has been parked for a few years on the hard. she is ready for launching but I still have some cleaning up to do.
Current location:
Goldsboro NC
Destinations visited:
Pacific north west, the east coast of the U. S. of A.
and even showed up in Canada
Looking to:
everywhere, I want to go around the world and meet others. I'll be going to the Bahamas this Winter and we'll see where to from there.

learning live aboard stuff

Ok, I'll admit I'm a little slow at learning.. but I have a great reason. I'm scared of the water. no, not the water outside of the boat but the water coming in through the one of three points of entry. while learning how to tighten up my stuffing box a hose clamp on the huge black hose that connects the shaft log to the stuffing box snapped and the othe whole black hose turns. I was ready to go in the water and when I decide to break lose the nuts and the get ready for the water to come in, but… Continue

Learning to live..on my boat that is!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Good news yall...in the next couple of days I'll be in the water and tied to the dock. I have to wait till the 5th atleast for a missing bolt to get here. a part that cost $28 and is smaller then my big toenail that cut off the other day.
when I bought the boat I was told it needed a new hatch built and a good cleaning. but I found more stuff that needed repairs or replacing then you could shake a stick at! some of… Continue

someone on a message board, asked this: Are you doing the practical thing?

it's hard to believe I lost weight, got my hair cut, and got all the blue bottom paint off my hands, since this pic was taken.

well, it got me thinking. for three days I thought" what is the practical thing any way"?
as I look back on my life, I could have been rich. but that's not the way I am. my life has been… Continue

Thanks, I had a long day...I been cleaning and putting stuff away. Iam amazed at the mildow and mold that grow in hidden spots. not in the main cabin so much as the v berth under the sides where you cann't see it unless you lay on your back and then you go through a whole bottle of cleaner and still got soe hidden somewhere else! My main hatcj=h was in pieces and someone unplugged the drop cord and killed the batteries and I had water deep in the bilge. no biggy. the tarp was shreds and I removed most of it in little strips. I feel much better then I did last night, all wooried so bad I never fell asleep. I got to build a hatch in the morning I guess. I'm just going to build a get me by, for now. I think I am going to like the live aboard thing, it's almost just like home for me except cable and a micro wave. oh and the 5 minute trak to the rest room.
