I could use some sunshine this winter. Anyone looking for a share the sail crew? I can reciprocate with a cruise to Georgan Bay/North Channel next summer, if you care to escape the heat and humidity of Fla in the summer.

I'm also a certified Dive Master/Master Diver and make a great lobster cream sauce for over that fresh speared hog snapper. {:o)

Hello everyone,
I was wondering, are all these sailing singles singlehanders or open to potential crew opportunities too?
You see, I generally singlehand, when my other arm is twisted ;)
However, since I'm still a novice, I do enjoy having company and perhaps a little extra hand of help, especially when exploring new territory or sailing at night.
I've been in search of the best way to find persons with little to some or more experience that don't mind sailing on someone else's boat.
For example, I'm planning a four day sailing trip to a new place over thanksgiving. It's an annual raft-up for some of my sailing friends, but this will be my first year. Would love to have company for the trip, but how does one go about finding trustworthy company... Something that appeals to me, is buddy boating. Though not a substitute for having full time crew (read mate), it does supply a few of the things missing in singlehanding, while still maintaining your independence.

There's someone nearby in an emergency. Someone to share time with ashore, or just a meal in the evening. And perhaps leads you to someplace you wouldn't choose on your own.

So while it's not a solution, so to speak, it can be an option.
