"Sail on SilverGirl..... your time has come to shine..."

Just like Connie, I am now available for crew in the Southeast/Gulf. I have GRADUATED with an Initial Cert/M.Ed... but not yet found a teaching job, so am free to cast off. I grew up sailing dinghies on Lake Allatoona & then had a boat crew job last summer, logging 4000 nautical miles in 4 trips across the Gulf plus one passage to the Caribbean, various 32'-45' cruisers. I love to sail.

If anyone needs crew in NJ, keep me in mind.  I have some experience and am looking to add to my hours.

heading into the anchorage here in mazatlan for a bit of repairing my  formosa prior to  leaving for panama... dont know yet where  she will need to take a rest--must plan that part  yet....bought more diesel jugs for  extended range and dire emergencies.  loading up on  potable water..checking all tanks and  running halyard decided to rupture so i am making sure is only one, standing rigging is  new, so i check that   to make sure it stays on preflight here is awesome perfect!!!!!

Wow, thanks for sharing. Yes lets keep the group moving along,  I may be interested  in a charter this winter...depends where I am at in my life.  My boat could take us there as I leave in water all year.  We will see.

Ahoy Sailing Sisters...was just looking at the posts for our group and sadly appears my post of 24/12/10 was the last one.....well ladies here I am again.  We had a disaster at the marina this fall...the crane had a boat on the extension arm ready to put into the cradle.....suddenly all let go, the crane tipped, the boat in the air came crashing down on 2 boats already in the cradle.....was a sad state....all 3 boats were write-offs & understand the owners are still fighting with the insurance companies. Seems one of the outriggers for the crane wasn't planted properly so it all went over.   For the rest of the boats still at their docks hauling  was postponed for some weeks, fortunately our WX was good.  Was not easy for the marina to secure fill-in cranes at that late date so was touch/go.   My boat was hauled end of October...all went well, she is now winterized, tarped & safely bedded down.  I didn't list Tiehack this past spring but am doing the paperwork to do that dastardly deed this spring.   Will keep you gals posted on my progress with that.  Hope you all had a great sailing summer....myself in early September spent a week in Ireland....sailing was not good but we did lots of interesting things by car...then flew to spend a week in London.  Would like to organize a charter south this winter in the BVIs......anyone interested....would need to decide soon before all the good boats are taken.......cheers  dianne

Beneteau 43 two cabin slip covers

We are taking out cat Genny to the Bahamas this year and I am fearful of the beautiful white leatherette salon cushions.  If anyone has had cushions made could you please give us a name of the maker.  We can make them ourselves if we had the dimensions but would be happy if there was a custom supplier.  The boat is in the Abacos and we are in Halifax so we can't go and measure. Many thanks, JohnSee More

B43 Inverter Buzzing/humming noise

Hello -Have a 2008 B43 hull 40 which I purchased second hand about a year ago. been very happy with the boat but have 1 annoying problem I would like to resolve. When switching on the inverter I have the following 2 potential issues:1) Voltage display is low, shows between 102-106 volts2) Humming noise coming from some sort of auto switch which is encased in a white plastic box behind the cabinet where the radios are mountedI only have the problem when the inverter is on, no issue with shore…See More
